Benefits & Treatment Areas
Electrology includes the use of 3 modalities: Electrolysis (galvanic or direct current), Thermolysis (short wave or high frequency), and Blend (combination of both electrolysis and thermolysis). All three modalities are recognized by the FDA, and all state licensing boards as effecting permanent hair removal.
What to Expect
At your initial consultation with a professional Electrologist, a thorough health history assessment will be taken to fully understand any issues that could be related to excessive hair growth. Factors such as hair growth cycles, the quantity and structure of hair present, previous use of temporary hair removal methods, heredity, hormone function and stress all influence the customization of your own treatment program.
You are a good candidate if you answer yes to any one of the following questions:
Do you always feel self-conscious because of unwanted hair?
In social situations, are you unable to react to others spontaneously?
Do you avoid being in the spotlight?
Are you spending excessive time temporarily removing your unwanted hair?

A note about Lasers.
Electrolysis is a medical procedure using one of three modalities. Electrologists do not use medical lasters. Medical lasers have been used for dermatology applications such as removal of port wine stains, dark spots, tattoos, acne scars and other blemishes for over a decade. Lasers are also used for a growing number of cosmetic procedures including hair removal and treatment of wrinkles.
