To join the Maryland Association of Professional Electrologists (MAPE), visit the American Electrology Association (AEA) for information on becoming a member and to get the membership application. (Membership in MAPE is automatic when you join AEA.)

To become a member in the Maryland Association of Professional Electrologists you must complete the following:
You must become a member of the national organization, the American Electrology Association (AEA)
Dues of $230 are paid annually to AEA
There is a one time $25 NEW MEMBERS FEE that is assessed to all new members, also paid to AEA
All members are required to adhere to both the AEA’s and MAPE’s Code of Ethics, By-Laws, Standards of Practice as well as the AEA’s Infection Prevention Standards
Maryland Licensed Electrologists must also adhere to the Nurse Practice Act Annotated Code of Maryland Health Occupations Article, Title 8 Code of Maryland Regulations Title 10, Subtitle 53 (look for BOARD OF NURSING - ELECTROLOGY PRACTICE COMMITTEE)
