Electrologist, Entrepreneurship & Strategy

This is a virtual event hosted on ZOOM. To receive credits for the CEUs, all attendees must be visible on camera during the entire presentation.

This course teaches the electrologist how to set up a strategy to reach the optimal group of customers. The way electrologists select their target market, location, clinic setup, and customer base can have a significant impact on their success. Strategy discussions will cover how to properly segment customer bases to select the optimal group to target and focus marketing efforts. Key tenets of entrepreneurship, such as “failing fast” will be discussed. Additionally, methods for calculating costs related to such targeting and positioning will be shared to guide electrologists with their own clinics, whether already established or in development.

Learning outcomes

  • Learn key business strategies for electrologists to determine optimal customer base,

    location, and product mix

  • Become familiar with the key tenets of entrepreneurship to allow electrologists to safely

    experiment with methods to grow their business

  • Become familiar with tools for managing calculating advantages and disadvantages of various marketing tools

About the Speaker

Dr. Sara Paisner is owner of Instantronics International, the manufacturer of Elite

Spectrum and other epilators and associated accessories, as well as the President of

Synoptic Products, which focuses on electrolysis education. Prior to these roles, Dr.

Paisner worked in various research, sales, and marketing roles in the electronics (GE,

Parker Hannifan and others) and pharmaceutical industries (IQVIA, Worldwide Clinical

Trial, others) for over 20 years. She started her career as a research scientist developing

materials for the electronic industry, some of which are likely in electronics you use

today.

Dr. Paisner is the author of a book, articles in trade magazines, peer reviewed journals,

and websites, as well as an owner of multiple patents. She regularly speaks and writes

about the chemistry and science of electrolysis as well as topics on business, marketing

and leadership and has extensive business and speaking experience internationally as well

as domestically. Dr. Paisner attended Dartmouth College for her BA, UC Berkeley for

her PhD, and UNC Kenan-Flagler for her MBA.

For fun, Dr. Paisner likes to sail, train in martial arts and, when she can find the time,

travel. She speaks fluent Japanese and French.
