March 2026 CEU Event: Two Talks: Thermolysis and Ethics and the Professional Continuum in Electrology

Thermolysis, Blend, and Galvanic: Understanding the Modalities and Their Practical Applications (.2 CEUs)

presented by Kelly Morrissy, CPE

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the three primary electrolysis modalities: Thermolysis, Galvanic, and Blend.

  2. Explain the basic mechanism of action for each modality.

  3. Recognize clinical situations where one modality may be appropriate.

  4. Identify factors that influence treatment effectiveness and client comfort.

  5. Apply practical decision-making when selecting electrolysis modalities. 6. Recognize signs of overtreatment and adjust technique appropriately.

Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion of this course, participants will demonstrate an increased understanding of the three primary electrolysis modalities and their practical use in professional practice. Practitioners will be able to describe how Thermolysis, Galvanic, and Blend techniques function and recognize clinical factors that influence modality selection. Participants will apply this knowledge to support safe treatment practices and improve client comfort during electrolysis procedures. This course emphasizes practitioner technique and clinical judgment rather than device-specific claims.
